These conditions are necessary to ensure the well-being of our valued Guests and the orderly continuance of Goose Green Lodge.
1. Reservations, Payment and Terms
1.1. The guest house operates on a Bed & Breakfast and Self Catering basis, but can arrange other services such as dinner, transport, small functions, events or meetings at Guests' own cost. The guest house can also provide details of suppliers that can provide these services directly to the guest.
1.2. Reservations for B&B rooms are accepted on a 'per person' basis and not a room basis. Rates are therefore subject to the number of people that occupy a room. The names and relationship to the Guest of the additional persons sharing the room must be provided when the reservation is made.
Reservations for cottages are made on a 'per unit' basis, and can sleep a maximum of 4 persons as a norm. Additional beds may be made available, if requested. The names and relationship to the Guest of all persons sharing the unit must be provided when the reservation is made.
Children from the ages of 0-2 stay free of charge – 3-11 years old pay half the adult price, and thereafter full adult rates will apply.
1.3. Bookings can only be confirmed if the guest house receives a 50% deposit on accommodation, or valid credit card details with authorisation to debit, along with the Guest name, surname, number of persons sharing accommodation, cell phone number of the Guest, confirmed payment method and expected time of arrival of each Guest.
1.4. A 50% deposit is required within 48 hours to secure a booking.
1.5. In the event of a cancellation, the following arrangements will apply:
cancellation less than 7 days before - forfeit 80% of the Booking
cancellation less than 14 days before - forfeit 75% of the Booking
cancellation less than 21 days before - forfeit 50% of the Booking
cancellation less than 28 days before - forfeit 25% of the Booking
cancellation more than 29 days before the arrival date - forfeit 0% of the Booking*/**

** In the event of a cancellation, refunds are subject to the discretionary deduction of any credit card charges and/or commissions incurred by the establishment.
1.6. Discounted rates will be revised should the duration of stay be decreased or interrupted or payment terms not be adhered to.
1.7. The Guest retains personal liability for the bill until the employer, agent, or person that made the reservation on his or her behalf has settled the account.
1.8. Cash, electronic fund transfers and all major credit cards are valid payment methods. Cheques are not accepted.
1.9. Rates are subject to change without prior notice. Quotations are valid for 48 hours unless otherwise specified.
1.10. Refunds will only be made after payment has been finally cleared by the bank or Credit Card Company. This process can take in excess of 30 days.
1.11. A minimum administration fee of 10% will be added to any service the guest house pays for on behalf of the Guest.
1.12. Should a Guest not arrive on the confirmed date of arrival, the full deposit and any other payments will be forfeited.
2. Arrival and Departure
2.1. Check in time is between 14:00 and 18:00 unless prior arrangements have been made. No check-in will be made after 20:00, unless a flight number has been provided so that we may track your flight progress and estimated time of arrival. This is necessary to ensure the security and well-being of other Guests.
2.2. Check out time is between 08:30 and 11:00 unless prior arrangements have been made. This is to enable the room to be prepared in time for new arrivals. Should you require a late departure, please discuss this with us and we will do everything possible to accommodate your request. Guests that check out after 12:00 without prior arrangement will be liable for an extra night’s accommodation, as we will not be able to service the room in time for new arrivals.
3. Parking and Access
Visitors and Guests may only park in the designated parking areas. Vehicles that park in the driveway, or in such a manner that it causes an obstruction, will be removed. We accept no responsibility for any loss or damage.
4. Service Hours
4.1. The reception desk is open from 08:30 to 18:00 Monday to Fridays and 10:00 to 16:00 on weekends and public holidays. The after-hours contact number is 083 272 6791 / 082 825 4305.
4.2. Reservations office hours are: Monday to Friday from 08:30 to 17:00.
This is a Non Smoking Guest House. Smoking is strictly prohibited in all our guest rooms and all public areas. Smoking areas will be pointed out to you, should you request this. Guests found to be smoking in their rooms will be liable to pay an additional night’s accommodation. No exception will be made under any circumstances.
6. Security & Storage
Although the guest house takes reasonable steps to ensure the safety and security of Guests and their possessions, Guests retain final responsibility for their own safety and security. Keep rooms locked at all times and place valuables in the safe provided. Upon Check out please leave the safe open and room locked. Please remember to return your keys to the Reception Desk.
7. Breakfast Service
7.1. Breakfast is served weekdays, weekends and public holidays normally between 8:00 and 10:00. Arrangements can be made for earlier or later breakfast times the day before or on booking or check-in.
7.2. No refunds will be made should breakfast facilities not be used for whatever reason. As a courtesy to the guest house, you are requested to let us know if you will not be needing breakfast. We will gladly pack you a breakfast or snack pack, should you wish to leave early.
8. Housekeeping Service
All guest rooms are serviced daily between 09:00-15:30, with only minor services over weekends and public holidays
9. Laundry Service
We can provide a limited laundry service upon request. This will be available on weekdays only, excluding public holidays. All laundry charges will be added to the final invoice and a handling fee applies.
10. Internet Service
Wireless access is available in most areas of the guest house. This service is offered free of charge with the expectation that Guests will utilise this service in a professional and responsible manner. By using this service, you hereby accept our conditions of use as follows:
10.1. Goose Green Lodge offers the free Wireless Internet service for activities such as the active use of e-mail, instant messaging, browsing the World Wide Web and accessing corporate Intranets.
10.2. High volume data transfers, especially sustained high volume data transfers, are not permitted.
10.3. Hosting a web server or any other server by use of our service is prohibited.
10.4. Trying to access someone else’s account, sending unsolicited bulk e-mail, collection of other people’s personal data without their knowledge and interference with other network users is prohibited.
10.5. Reselling this service to a third party is prohibited.
10.6. Goose Green Lodge reserves the right to suspend the service to a Guest if we believe that usage of the service is unreasonably excessive or being used for criminal or illegal activities.
10.7. Guests are responsible to maintain the confidentiality of wireless passwords and all activities that occur under their username and password and will be liable for any losses, damage and costs incurred by Goose Green Lodge due to the loss, misuse and/or disclosure of guests' usernames and passwords.
10.8. Goose Green Lodge provides this service on an “as is” basis, and will endeavour to provide uninterrupted free Wireless Internet access, however we cannot guarantee that the service will be available at all times and in all parts of the guest house. We reserve the right to modify or temporarily suspend the service or any part of it without prior notice.
10.9. Goose Green Lodge will not disclose your contact information to any third party without your prior consent, but by Law we are required to assist in the investigation of any suspected or alleged crime or civil wrong, including disclosure of Guests' contact information.
10.10. Guests are responsible to maintain their own security whilst dealing with the Internet or their corporate Intranet.
10.11. Goose Green Lodge does not provide additional security to our network users as we provide Internet access only and do not interfere with content, and therefore cannot be responsible for security and information transmitted via our service.
10.12. The guest house will not be liable for the accuracy, completeness or relevance of any information obtained through our service from the Internet.
11. Loss or Damage to Guest House Property
The Guest retains personal liability for any loss or damages caused to the property of Goose Green Lodge (excluding wear and tear). Parents/adults are held responsible for loss or damages caused by children in their care.
11.1 Guests attend this establishment at their own risk. The proprietors, their agents, and/or employees shall not be liable for, and guests hereby waive and abandon, any claim of whatsoever nature, including but not limited to that for theft, death, injury, loss or damage of whatsoever nature against the proprietors, whether arising from the proprietors' default, negligence or otherwise.
Please note that Goose Green is in the process of obtaining a liquor license. Liquor may be on the premises, but will not be sold or provided to children under 18.
14. Swimming Pool and Communal Areas
No children under the age of 16 are allowed in the above mentioned areas without adult supervision. Guests make use of the swimming pool and communal areas at their own risk and therefore Goose Green Lodge will not be held liable for any loss, damage or death caused in these areas by the guests. Guests should please not eat or drink at or dive into the swimming pool. In order for us to be able to clean the pool, please do not use it between 20:00 and 8:00.
Please be aware that we have dogs for security, and will not be held responsible for any damages caused by our animals.
16. General Incapacity
The guest house cannot be held liable if any of the following events or conditions prevents the guest house from fulfilling its obligation to Guests. The guest house will take all reasonable steps to minimise disruption and discomfort to Guests under these conditions:
16.1. Unanticipated interruption to the electricity, water or sewage to, from or on the guest house property.
16.2. Industrial action, civil uprising or criminal activity.
16.3. Fire, frost, flooding, subsidence or any other force majeure event.
Entry is at own risk. Goose Green Lodge will not be held liable for any loss , damage or injury to any person incurred on the property by whatsoever cause.
